Workshop > (...) As part of the exhibition "Sampler #4. Things that Happen" @ MACBA
El metanoise hace referencia a metadatos considerados irrelevantes. Está presente en los sistemas que no tienen un vocabulario controlado, y adopta forma de faltas de ortografía, etiquetas de broma o términos que solo entiende una pequeña comunidad de personas. Pero ¿qué significa etiquetar documentos? ¿Qué implicaciones políticas contiene? ¿La folksonomía mola o no sirve para nada? Describiendo el mundo, ¿lo estamos haciendo? Estas preguntas son el motor de la actividad, que tomará como punto de partida el caso de estudio de la elaboración colectiva del vocabulario de palabras clave común que usa el archivo histórico del museo.

Performance > Do-It-Yourself Cosmology > KOSMOPOLIS
(...) Constructing worlds in faraway galaxies is the realm of science fiction writers, but also of some contemporary artists with a greater taste for risk and exploring new media of expression. In the DIY Cosmology cycle, several creators will start out from bricocosmology, which is to say the construction of future universes with visual and sound media, incorporating echoes and reverberations from the classics in the genre.
For the duration of Kosmopolis 21, Jaume Ferrete Vázquez, Enric Farrés Duran, Ariadna Guiteras, Laura Llaneli, Quim Pujol, and Rosa Tharrats will land in the bookshops of central Barcelona to change the usual dynamics of these spaces with their sound, performance, and visual installations based on the classics of science fiction in a programme of artistic creations curated by Alicia Kopf.

Conservar documents és una de les tres missions principals de tot arxiu. Un document infectat està en constant transformació, ja que és un organisme viu, que fa intercanvis amb l’exterior. El fong que habita el document és la dada més rellevant que conté, si l’observem des de el punt de vista de l’arxiu, la qual cosa capgirant les jerarquies entre els diferents tipus de informació que conté un document. Habitualment, els documents de l’arxiu històric no estan infectats, ja que no s’han mogut mai del context asèptic del museu. No han sortit mai a fer un tomb per infectar-se. Mentre introduïm conceptes sobre la conservació dels arxius, crearem les condicions idònies per infectar-ne un.

Podcast > (...) As part of the exhibition "Sampler #4. Things that Happen", Enric Farrés Durán turns the tables on us with a proposal to get Ràdio Web MACBA to talk about his practice. Enric went back to the mail he had received in 2015 inviting him to be interviewed by RWM, tweaked it for the occasion, and forwarded it to the relevant person at RWM. Through this simple gesture, Enric hopes to reveal the mechanisms underlying this pseudo-radiophonic project and generate and opportunity to break the fourth wall. This conversation—not interview—is a waste of time in the best sense of the term. It is “the trace of an action”. Or of many actions.

Conservar documents és una de les tres missions principals de tot arxiu. Un document infectat està en constant transformació, ja que és un organisme viu, que fa intercanvis amb l’exterior. El fong que habita el document és la dada més rellevant que conté, si l’observem des de el punt de vista de l’arxiu, la qual cosa capgirant les jerarquies entre els diferents tipus de informació que conté un document. Habitualment, els documents de l’arxiu històric no estan infectats, ja que no s’han mogut mai del context asèptic del museu. No han sortit mai a fer un tomb per infectar-se. Mentre introduïm conceptes sobre la conservació dels arxius, crearem les condicions idònies per infectar-ne un.

Podcast > (...) As part of the exhibition "Sampler #4. Things that Happen", Enric Farrés Durán turns the tables on us with a proposal to get Ràdio Web MACBA to talk about his practice. Enric went back to the mail he had received in 2015 inviting him to be interviewed by RWM, tweaked it for the occasion, and forwarded it to the relevant person at RWM. Through this simple gesture, Enric hopes to reveal the mechanisms underlying this pseudo-radiophonic project and generate and opportunity to break the fourth wall. This conversation—not interview—is a waste of time in the best sense of the term. It is “the trace of an action”. Or of many actions.
